From October 19th.. It was a good week for bikes. First it started with the Share the Road ride. This ride is to celebrate Florida's "Share the Road" initiative and be a fund raiser for the Florida Bicycle Association.

We made this a family affair with my sister coming down from Pasco County with her Klein (Steel is Real) joining us on our Treks. It was my wife's and my first big bike ride. We stuck with the family outing and road through local residential areas at a moderate pace. The initial groups took off in speeds. The 22 - 25 MPH took off first, followed by decreasing speed groups over 16, 28 and 50 mile routes.
After that, came the Bicycle Bash by the Bay 2008; Jack, from Bikecommuters.com has a nice pictorial on their site about it. The only thing I could add would be a pic of Denise and Kevin from Balance and Bliss, our local Yoga and Bhakti Message people who were also there.. It was an absolutely great day.. The people and weather were all great..
And, we are in the World Series, that's incredible. Who would have thought, worst to first.. as an area, we have a history of "sports" suffering. We lived through the longest loosing streak in sports history, the Bucs.. .. And for those folks who came for the ProBike and ProWalk seminar at the Hilton, WOW... When they booked these room months ago, I'm sure they never thought they'd be right in the middle of a World Series. They could probably auction off their hotel rooms this week. Every place is booked solid.
